2 months agoIt’s a average gym overall here at Fallowfield Manchester but below are some much needed improvements needed asapSuch a big and expensive gym, you should have treadmills here with screens to watch TV on, it’s very boring walking for hours on the treadmills and most other gyms have it as standard.
Also, please bring more equipment as once it is term time, we have to wait in queue to use the machines as there are many people in the gym at the same time.
Also, please update the look and make it look more new and modern, it looks dingy and old building from inside let alone from outside.
Hope these improvements are considered, quite a lot of people have been speaking about these things at gym and some even talked about leaving for other gyms which were offering more modern standards.
3 months agoThis gym is awesome. The location is very convenient and it has a good social atmosphere. But one trainer in particular has made my experience even better – Moassab Gakhar. He is knowledgeable, friendly and can help take training to the next level. If anyone is looking for a good gym with a good community, and has an awesome trainer, this is the place to be.
a month agoCharged for parking there despite being a paying member at the time, parking company are asking for proof that I went there saying they required my gym usage records( and apparently couldn’t accept a screenshot showing an email of my literal membership payment, which is just ridiculous from the parking company), I couldn’t access these records anymore as I had cancelled my subscription since. To get my records I had to send an email to the data team who just straight up didn’t respond and now the parking company are saying they wont accept further correspondence, so yeah if you want to add a £100 parking fee on top of your membership feel free to visit.2 months agoAfter giving myself two weeks to adjust to the new layout of this gym I can confidently say I’m not a fan and it has ruined my gym experience.Firstly if you believe there were any quality of life improvements made to the gym you are more than mistaken. Previously there were 6 Squat rack areas, and now there are only 5 because the one on the first floor next to the office has disappeared.
There is also one less leg press, and a Latt pull down machine was removed. If you class removing equipment as improving the experience for the gym members then maybe your vision makes sense. Otherwise, the only thing I can conclude is you have caused an unnecessary downgrade to this gym and reduced the capacity it can handle despite knowing it can get extremely busy during peak months when students move back in.
The dumbell area with benches on the first floor was also removed, and everyone goes to the new second floor area which is now much smaller and feels claustrophobic when there are more than 5 people in the space. Whereas before you could go downstairs if the second floor was too crowded
It’s just beyond my comprehension why a step backwards has been taken by whichever incompetent person you hired to mess with the gym. If anything I am now getting less for my money and I will be looking into alternative gyms.
3 months agoQuick visit to the gym as i haven’t been to this gym before. Had the pleasure of meeting one of the personal trainers called Moassab – great lad and we shared some of our journey so far. I will definitely be back to get a session with this highly knowledgeable and up-and-coming Personal trainer.

2 months agoOne of the biggest and most crowd gym from this brand I ever seen. Free car parking, and a massive one. All and all, 4/5 stars because I am from another gym, and could use in here when visiting town. Good stuff.a week agoRejoined and visited yesterday. Its been a few years since i was using this gym and thankfully for me not much has changed. 24hr access Wheelchair accessibility Contactless entry Free classes Friendly staff onsite to help if needed6 months agoGreat gym – it’s airy and spacious with a friendly atmosphere and enough equipment to get a really good work out in.Special mention to PT Alex – he is a fantastic trainer all-round! I highly rate his cardio / weight classes which are challenging yet perfectly adaptable to suit your current fitness level. He is super helpful, knowledgeable and supportive no matter what your goals are and just a friendly, approachable face on the gym floor which is also nice!
2 months agoI have been a member at this gym for over 4 years and it seems to be getting worse rather than better. The equipment is well over its best before end date. The changing rooms and showers are constantly not up to standard. The lockers are mostly all broke and struggle to gat one that you can actually put you lock on. The staff are generally unfriendly apart from 1 or 2 of the PT’s they never say hello. The only PT who was actually very friendly and always gave advice was Mahlon but is no longer at the gym . The gym is close to my home and that’s why I use it otherwise I would go elsewhere.5 months agoPlenty of kit, classes, and help. Staff are top of the pops when it comes to listening to your questions and proactive when it comes to adjusting your technique and workout. Not a complaint in sight. Pump up your jam while your feet are stomping or your muscles are pumping. Had a top convo with Jordon off the back of this too 👌🏻

a month agoI have been coming to this gym for over 8 years and have never seen any refurbishment or changes, I’m so disappointed that despite the commitment members like me have shown there has not been an interest in improving the quality of this gym. It’s definitely been neglected. A couple of members and I have been requesting a hip thrust machine and have had to make the long travel journeys to NRG Gym just to use a hip thrust machine. We have rarely asked for anything but this request is continuously passively heard & ignored. Can we please just have a Hip Thrust machine – that’s all we are asking for the amount of money we pay yearly to commit to this gym.2 weeks agoIt’s got some good OK equipment but what an absolute mess. There’s weights and barbells scattered everywhere. You can tell your members don’t appreciate anything in this pure gym on bury new roada month agoPlease can we just have the HIP THRUST Machine – we have been asking for months! It’s easier and for those who struggle to stack up the weights due to mobility issues it helps. It would be a lot more disability friendly.3 weeks agoEverything in this gym is broken.Every machine has some major issues no repair can fix them need to be replaced, you don’t need to believe my review just go for 1 day and you will see by yourself.
Floor is unbalanced extremely bad for people overtime.
Recommend the puregym near cheetham Hill all machine there are high quality.
Bury new road puregym should just close down is patethic extremely bad for the brand.
4 months agoWorst PureGym I’ve ever used. This gym is permanently unstaffed, it’s very dark, and the weights are never in the right place – so it’s very hard to find what you’re looking for.
I don’t get phone signal inside and the wifi never works too. Very annoying!
Tried to cancel my membership, but not sure I’ve done it right. The online guide doesn’t match up with the options in the members’ area, so I’m not sure if I’ll be charged, despite cancelling the direct debit. Tried to contact them on Twitter but it’s just an automated bot with no option to talk to a real person. PureGym seems to be an entirely automated set-and-forget business that doesn’t care about its customers at all. I’m moving to the leisure centre up the road.
